The Carmi-White County Junior High School educates students in grades 7 and 8. The Junior High School experience provides our students with the chance to move from room to room and have their own locker as they strive to become more independent. They are exposed to the traditional classes - Language Arts, Composition, Math, Science and Social Studies as well as a trimester each of Encore classes. Those classes include – Art, Family and Consumer Science, and Computer Technology. Physical Education is a part of the Encore classes and students take a period of P.E. daily.
The junior high also provides our students the opportunity to be exposed to the arts and athletics: band, choir, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball and track.
It is our desire that our students become involved and participate in many different venues as they look to become well-rounded citizens that have success in their time in the transition from elementary to high school.
