C-WC will dismiss 3 hours early tomorrow (Nov. 20th) for a teacher inservice. Lincoln will dismiss at 11:45 and Jefferson will dismiss at 11:50. Thanksgiving break will begin on Wednesday, November 25th. We hope you and your family have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

We are proud of our community and C-WC #5 family for being able to provide in-person education for almost a full semester. With COVID-19 surging, we would like to remind families that we will continue to educate our students face-to-face as long as we can, but we can only do so with the help of our families.
Please keep students at home until they are 48 hours symptom free without medication.
If anyone living in your home is tested for COVID, please quarantine all members of the home until the results come back.
Have the doctor’s office fax the school a copy of the results.
The district website (www.carmischools.org) is updated when there is a positive COVID case in the district. This information can be accessed by clicking on the Coronavirus tab.
Thank you for your assistance in educating our students.

As a result of your partnership, and some incredible substitute school bus drivers, we will be able to begin running our normal bus routes starting Monday, November 9th.

Last week the National School Lunch Program, through the US Department of Agriculture and the ISBE, announced that they have approved a waiver for all students to receive a free breakfast and a free lunch each day through the end of December. Beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2020 Carmi-White County Schools will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program allowing all enrolled students, whether face-to-face or remote, to receive these meals during school days. Please keep in mind that the waiver does not eliminate any lunch/breakfast debt that is currently owed nor does it include any a la carte, extra milk, or extra food items outside of the standard meal. #BulldogPride

Students should bring the rest of their supplies on the first day of school (please write the student’s name on their supplies). Building tours can be provided for those who request it! For those families who are not able to attend or do not feel comfortable, we hope to have a video out prior to the first day of student attendance.
