The Carmi-White Co. CUSD 5 Board of Education is conducting a search for a new superintendent. The selection of a new superintendent is probably the most important decision a board of education has to make; therefore, the Board has hired the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB) to assist in this process.
The Board of Education is seeking everyone’s input in the search process. The Board requests that all board members, all staff, all parents and community members complete an online survey provided by the IASB. The results will be tallied and used by the Board and Screening Team to develop a brochure to advertise the position.

There is a water leak in front of Washington School by the cross walk. The road is open but very congested. The north cross walk will be closed.
The city is reporting a major water leak in front of WAC by the crosswalk. The road is open but will be very congested. If you are bringing your child to school, please try to avoid Main Street. Students can be dropped off at the 4 way stop of Jessup and Robinson. The building will have water because it is on a different line. Sorry about the inconvenience. Have a wonderful day.
