Attention Parents: On Wednesday, March 12th ALL CWCHS students (Grades 9th - 12th) will be traveling to NCOE High School to listen to internationally known author and speaker, Chris Herren (Please see bio below). All students will be transported to the event by the CWC transportation department. Students will be leaving the school shortly after the attendance day begins and will return at approximately 11:15 AM. High School lunch will be immediately following our return from 11:15 - 12:00 PM. Students will be required to attend all of their classes in the afternoon on an adjusted schedule. Note: CWCHS Students that are enrolled in the SIC Vocational Program will not be attending. Please contact our office at 382-4661 if you have any questions. CWCHS would like to thank ROE #20 for providing this opportunity for our students.
Chris Herren is a former professional basketball player, a voice on the topic of substance use prevention and a wellness advocate. Since 2009, Chris has spoken to over two million students, athletes and community members, sparking honest discussions on the topics of substance use disorder and wellness. A person in long-term recovery, Chris continues to share his story nationally with a renewed focus on prevention education and challenging audiences to rethink how we look at the disease of addiction – changing the focus from the last day to the first.

Don't forget! Parent/Teacher conferences for the Jr/Sr High School will be held Tuesday, March 11th from 3:30-6:30pm. Conferences will be held in classrooms in ten minute increments.

We are so thankful to ROE #20 for sponsoring the February Teacher In-Service for staff from CWC and other area ROE Schools. Heidy LaFleur's presentation on the Social Emotional Alphabet was a powerful message and an awesome opportunity. We are so thankful for our Social Work Staff and our ROE 20 for planning and providing this training. #BulldogPride



ROE #20 is providing two opportunities for parents and community members in the ROE #20 area to attend a free presentation from former NBA basketball player Chris Herren. This adult only presentation, will share his story with addiction and his recovery journey. Carmi-White County CUSD #5 will be in session on Friday, February 21st. We want to keep all our students, staff, and families safe and appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation. Buses will be running normal routes where possible, however, due to some road conditions some alternate plans will be used and those affected families will be contacted. Please be aware that buses, pickup, drop off, and parking will all be handled with extreme caution to keep everyone safe and may run behind schedule. We are thankful for our community and everyone's support to keep everyone safe
