Today some of our art students competed at the NCOE Sidewalk Chalk Contest! Ours students came home with a 1st Place team and a 2nd Place team! Congrats!! #bulldogbest

The Junior High Athletic Awards will be held on Monday, May 11th at 5:30 pm in the Auditorium. We originally scheduled Athletic Awards on May 5th, but we needed to reschedule to a conflict. We will recognize Junior High Baseball, Softball, Cheerleading, 7th and 8th Grade Basketball for boys and girls, Volleyball, Track , Cross Country and Golf. Jr. High Orientation will be held on Wednesday, May 6th at 5:30 in the Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium. This event is for all incoming 7th graders (current 6th graders) and their parents. Please contact the Jr./Sr. High School office if you have any questions. #bulldogpride #bulldogbest

Kindergarten Round-Up

Lincoln Attendance Center will conduct Kindergarten Round-up for students who will be attending Kindergarten in the 2026–2027 school year. Children who are five years of age on or before September 1, 2026, are eligible to start school in August.

Incoming Kindergarten families are invited to attend the Roundup on May 7 from 3:30 - 6:30 pm at Lincoln Attendance Center. At this time, we will gather brief demographic information. Information obtained at this early registration provides us with a tentative number of kindergarten students. The data helps us purchase supplies, finalize staffing plans, and prepare bus routes for next year. If your child has not been in Carmi-White County’s Pre-K or Early Childhood Classes, please bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate.

Families will be given updated information regarding physical examinations, immunizations, and lead screenings during the in-person roundup.

This Friday, April 10th, will be a half day dismissal for Carmi White County Students! Junior High Students will be dismissed at 11:26. #bulldogpride

Ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and community is our top priority.  After school on Tuesday, April 7th, graffiti was found in a restroom at Carmi-White County High School that discussed a possible future threat of violence against Carmi-White County High School.  This possible threat of violence was reported to the Administration and the School Resource Officer. Carmi-White County CUSD #5 has been working closely with law enforcement to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community. After a thorough investigation into a potential threat, law enforcement has confirmed there is no active threat, allowing us to proceed with regular school activities tomorrow. To enhance safety and provide peace of mind, there will be an increased law enforcement presence and additional security measures implemented during school activities. We appreciate everyone’s support to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and community.
